Funding Learning, Finding a Cure\\Evan's Dream, A Nonprofit Organization, was founded on January 28, 2010. The organization's purposes are to memorialize our friend Evan Gettert, to provide help, and to provide hope.\\Mission\\Evan's Dream exists to provide scholarships to college students in the State of Iowa, and to provide funding and support for brain cancer research.\\About Evan\\Evan Gettert was born in 1979. He was raised in Davenport and Bettendorf, Iowa and graduated from Davenport West High School in 1997. He attended the University of Iowa, Scott Community College, and St. Ambrose University, where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Finance and was a varsity soccer player. Evan owned and operated a variety of entrepreneurial businesses in the Quad Cities and worked in finance in Chicago. In 2005, he passed away at the age of 26 after a courageous fight with brain cancer. Evan was a trusted mentor, employer, and friend to hundreds of people. We have created this nonprofit to honor his life and further his interests in education and helping others.
