Geir Magnus Evenstad founded Evenstad Musikk in 2004 as a small online store primarily selling guitar strings and accessories out of his own home. However, the company was born with a bigger vision than just selling strings online and only months later Geir's home was abandoned and we rented our first premises.Adding new lines to our product portfolio every year, we expanded rapidly and soon we had to rent more space to make room for all the new gear. As opposed to the average MI-retailer in Norway at the time, we had bought gear from all over the world from day one. With suppliers from countries like the Usa, Germany, England, Japan and China we diversified from our competitors as well as kept product costs to a minimum.Fast forward to 2021, and we are one of the key players in the Norwegian MI-business and the largest independent store in the country. With over 50.000 different products in our webshop and at least 6000 of them in stock at any given time, there is no other place in Norway where you can find such a diverse assortment of music gear online. Operating out of our Grimstad warehouse (which we moved to in February 2014) we serve every part of Norway through our online shop www.evenstadmusikk.no. In addition to that, our brick and mortar retail store neighbouring our warehouse is a popular spot for musicians, and we regularly get foot traffic from as far as Stavanger in the vest to Oslo in the East.
