This foundation believes the experience of resident camp can lead to a powerful transformation in a child's life. Camp provides a nonthreatening environment for youth to be accepted, develop life skills, and increase their self-esteem and confidence. Volunteerism plays a major factor in connecting and guiding youth. Campers are able to engage with dedicated and committed leaders who take pride in nurturing and teaching fundamentals such as caring and responsibility, as well as the importance of having a meaningful relationship with others and themselves.
