Born in 2013, Everly by Everly Creations is a bridal collection inspired by the vintage haute couture techniques and mannerisms of the great Parisian masters of the 1940'a and 1950's such as Pierre Balmain, Cristobal Balenciaga, Jean Desses, Jacques Fath and Christian Dior. Coco Nerima Ochwada, founder and head designer, takes her love for the craft and silhouettes of days past and adds an updated twist to give sophisticated modern brides an alternative to the current offerings on the market. Frustrated with not being able to find anything that satisfied her desires for her own nuptials, she decided to design her own dress and in doing so awakened her passion for creating, a talent honed at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, Rhode Island. Having initially started out as an accessories designer, she moved to Milan, Italy to pursue her masters in accessory design and loved the country so much she remained for the next six years, working as the fashion buyer at the renown Penelope Stores group of boutiques in Brescia. She left Penelope in 2013 to set up shop in her home state of New York, and began creating the capsule collection of couture based and inspired bridal dresses. The collection is produced entirely in Italy, using the finest natural fabrics and the best of Made In Italy hand-crafting. It utilizes silks, ottomans, tulle, organza, and Mikado combined with delicate Italian lace and pearl and stone beading as embellishment. Everly by Everly Creations has one simple mission – to accompany a bride on the most important day of her life.
