Everyday Pakistan is an award-winning photography platform that defy the stereotypes by documenting the complexity and colorfulness of everyday life in Pakistan.For decades Pakistan has been visually documented through the eyes of foreign photographers. This has created a long legacy of stereotypical images that we are trying to fight through the initiative. One of the large biggest strengths of our Instagram feeds is that it provides a platform to native photographers to tell their own stories. The platform has unlike any other platforms empowered their voices as visual journalists. Currently there are no other international initiatives that are promoting Pakistani photojournalists or storytellers.Through our social media handles we question problematic visual that portrays developing countries in a negative light. We frequently champion the hiring of photographers from developing world on stories published in international media.
