The Czech National Bank issued a registration to First Czech-Russian Bank Ltd. (FCRB) to open up a subsidiary in the Czech Republic. FCRB is the first and only Russian bank to have been issued a banking license in the European Union. This license opens the door to a wide range of banking transactions and for opening bank branches in any other E.U. country. Evropsko-ruská banka a.s. (ERB a.s.) had its grand opening take place on April 7th, 2009 in Prague.
