Because a corporate meeting planner cannot be everywhere to manage every aspect and every detail of his/her program, there is Executive Travel Directors (ETD). ETD is a meeting planner resource dedicated to connecting planners to experienced freelance Travel Directors (TDs) to assist in the on-site operation of superior meetings and successful events. Since 1998, ETD's registry has grown to over 2,000 independent Travel Directors that are able to provide on-site logistical management of nearly every aspect of a program, from organizing a multi-hotel rooming list, to making sure the shotgun golf tournament goes off without a hitch, to delivering guest amenities, to ensuring all food and beverage guarantees are appropriate and well managed. Now planners do not have to try to be everywhere and do everything. With a great staff of Travel Directors, planners can now spend more time with their attendees and better focus their efforts on their meeting's content.
