Music - Exeter, England, United Kingdom
The Exeter University Brass Ensemble is a traditional brass ensemble with a modern twist. We are a small group of between 10 and 15 brass players at the university. We meet up weekly to play a repertoire as diverse as our musical instruments - we play more traditional tunes such as The March of the Men of Harlech, challenging pieces such as the Londoner in New York suite by Jim Parker and lighter, fun arrangements of popular tunes such as the recent smash-hit Frozen. While unauditioned, we offer a high-quality performance, having played throughout Exeter as well as at Glastonbury Cathedral, and we go busking in town fairly regularly to help raise funds for the group and for society socials. We are always looking to obtain more music, and if you have any questions please get in contact. If you are interested in composing for a ten-piece brass ensemble then please get in touch and we will try out the piece(s).
