In life, change is inevitable. Sometimes we want it, and sometimes we don't. Sometimes it's easy, and sometimes it's hard. Sometimes it comes quickly, and sometimes it feels it may take forever, or never happen at all. Whatever change you want or must face, having a safe, trustworthy, confidant can make all the difference in how you experience change. You might be initially hesitant to seek out help and support for personal matters, but when you do, you can feel confident you are taking a courageous step for yourself. While some believe asking for help means weakness or "something is wrong with me," just the opposite is true! Counseling is for the brave, and one of the most courageous things you can do for yourself is to seek help! Brene Brown teaches, "humans are hard-wired for connection," and when it can be hard to find the safety and support you need, a counselor can become a helpful ally. My mission is to provide this kind of safety and support for you and your family or loved ones as you experience change. With a passion to help individuals and families cope with and adapt to life with ADHD, I also have a passion to help anyone who has learned to feel badly about themselves, doubt themselves, and experience the depression and anxiety that often occurs as a result. Helping people change how they relate to themselves and to others, as well as facing life transitions that can be difficult or very painful, are areas of interest. Another area of interest is helping caregivers and families with a loved who has dementia. With years of life and professional experience working with younger to older adults, as well as adolescents, couples, parents, and groups, I am here to help you work through changes you either want or are forced to address. I am here to help you and your loved ones experience change.
