The Expertise Centre for Forensic Psychiatry (EFP) was founded in 2002 as a joint initiative of the Dutch Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Health, Wellbeing and Sport, and twelve high security Forensic Psychiatric Hospitals.The core business of EFP is `brokering and combining knowledge` in order to further the highest possible quality of treatment. This means that EFP stimulates contacts between the various experts involved, collects the latest knowledge and makes it readily available to the field.
