RTO12 is one of 13 regional tourism organizations funded by the Ont. Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport. Also known by its consumer-facing name, Great Canadian Wilderness, the agency is governed by an independent, volunteer Board of Directors made up of business owners.RTO12 develops some of the most innovative tourism initiatives in the province, including the Fuel & Fun program, self-guided mobile tours, and their leading content marketing program. The organization works in mandated pillars by the government, including Marketing, Product Development, Investment Attraction, Workforce Development and Governance. "Strategy & Process" and "do more with less" are the organization's guiding beacons, which have ensured the company's success in building visitation and spend across Algonquin Park, the Almaguin Highlands, Loring-Restoule, Muskoka and Parry Sound.The culture at RTO12 is intense, creative, driven and fun.
