The Exposure- und Dialogprogramme e.V. (EDP Association) is a non-funding charitable association that offers extraordinary leadership training programmes for decision-makers from politics, the business sector, the Churches and the civil society. Within these programmes, EDP organizes in cooperation with partner organizations personal meetings between people from industrialized countries and people from developing and threshold countries who are trying to overcome their poverty by their own initiative. Immersion in the environment of their hosts not only makes poverty tangible for the visitors, but also shows their self-help potential. Hosts and visitors are involved in a dialogue that focuses on the disadvantaged and their survival strategies. The individual exposure and dialogue programmes thus not only convey a deep insight into the reality of the lives of the poor, but also provide solid insights on strategies, opportunities and measures that improve their situations.Exposure and dialogue programmes help create a better understanding of development processes and the difficulties on site. The aim is to give impulses for action to the benefit of the disadvantaged and thus support these change processes.The Exposure and Dialogue Programme also strives for a socio-political impact on Germany and Europe.
