ExtendaTouch is a service that facilitates personal peer connections. ExtendaTouch enables the opt-in pairing of individuals in "need of help" with caregivers "who can assist" in relevant topics. ExtendaTouch is entirely free to provide an opportunity for the most significant number of caregivers to participate. A substantial portion of the 53 million caregivers does not have direct access to the thousands of existing support services because of their geographic location, station-in-life, or economic circumstance. They urgently need to exchange information and find support promptly, personally, securely, and confidentially. ExtendaTouch is additive to any organization or corporate caregiving program as an additional resource to enable personal connections that supplement their outreach and programming; ExtendaTouch may be the first stop for caregivers who need established resources. The founders previously assembled four million members who engaged in more than five million hours of conversations monthly. Those connections facilitated lifelong relationships that provided care and companionship for isolated and marginalized individuals. They naturally gravitated to an online service that fostered personal communication and the exchange of information and support. We believe an enormous number of underserved caregivers have that same need now. Our successful experience is the basis for creating ExtendaTouch.ExtendaTouch actively facilitates anonymity as a safe way for individuals to communicate about sensitive topics without stigma.
