The ESSA is a not for profit association created in 2013 by North American rolling shutters and roll screen manufacturers with the ambition to grow awareness for rolling window attachments and to promote their benefits. We work directly with the Attachments Energy Rating Council (AERC) to help certify and label the energy efficiency of window attachment products. The AERC, with funding from the US Department of Energy, is well into testing and certification processes for many different window attachment products. The ESSA will continue supporting the AERC and DOE in addition to being the industry voice for rolling shutters and roll screens.
