Our mission is to develop, supply and implement business solutions for effective identification focusing on biometrics and smart card technologies.Face Technologies pioneered the use of biometrics (the utilisation of an aspect or characteristic of an individual's body to identify the person, e.g. fingerprints, facial recognition, voice recognition, hand geometry and iris scanning) in South Africa and has successfully applied the technology in a variety of applications. These range from automatic fingerprint identification systems (AFIS) and fingerprint enrollment for driver's licences to automated payment systems based on biometrics and smart card technology to verify the identity of card holdersAs an independent systems integrator, Face Technologies is not bound to specific products and will therefore source the best-of-breed products most suited to the client's application. The company has extensive experience in the design, development, implementation and management of large-scale, high-security card projects and, through local and international partners and alliances, is able to undertake national and international projects of any size and scope. Some of the successful projects include welfare payment systems, driver's licences, identification card systems, voter's cards, voter's roll for elections and national traffic information systems.
