This Academy is promoted with the main aim of motivating the students to prepare for the Civil Services Examinations. It came to my mind only after I got the copy of the book written by my younger brother Mr Vijay Kumar IRS and ex-IFoS, titled as Face The Challenge. Whatever he did in his school or college days or later on while preparing for the civil services examination, has all been in front of me. But when I read âMy Storyâ in his book that I could realise how blatantly honest he has been in the narrative. I know he was not a bright student initially and he needed to be pushed up by me and our sister, to do well. Once he tasted the success of being a topper he remained so till the high school. But in the college he slided back and could not become a doctor and felt as if the world was lost to him. I know after all the failures, once he took up the challenge of UPSC wholeheartedly with his own subjects, the success was all his.
