WHAT I DOI teach college educators to be outstanding, socially just class discussion facilitators. My primary focus is to help educators build on their existing strengths in order to recognize the potential they already have to be powerful facilitators. I also help them to develop their own facilitation praxis by introducing them to theories and methodologies they can grow during and beyond our work together.HOW I DO IT I offer a growing suite of resources, including e-books, online courses, and membership programs to reach educators through a range of methods. By providing concrete instruction, leading with empathy, and modeling conviction and humility, I send my students off feeling confident to lead in their unique teaching contexts.WHY I DO IT I understand how challenging it can be to lead meaningful class discussions and resolve conflicts among students when you feel nervous about speaking and you haven't been taught best practices for this aspect of your teaching job. I also know how transformative it can be--for you and your students--to experience the humanizing connection that comes from powerful facilitation. I truly believe such experiences are a component of the work of resisting oppression and healing the planet, and it would be an honor to support you in your vital role.
