The Facility Certification Institute provides feed/food safety programs andauditing services to the feed industry. Initially founded in March 2001 as anindependent, non-profit organization to provide third party certification services tocompanies wishing to certify compliance with the Food and Drug Administration's(FDA) BSE feed rule, FCI additionally offers auditing services and certification tothe Spray Dried Plasma Producers, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point(HACCP) Certification, Animal Protein Producers Industry's, Code of PracticeProgram and provides auditing services to the American Feed IndustryAssociation's (AFIA) Safe Feed/Safe Food Certification Program.
