The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb is the oldest and largest Croatian scientific and higher education institution in humanities and social sciences, and a significant cultural institution with a major impact on Croatian culture and society.The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences delivers study programmes at all three higher education levels: undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate. In sum, it provides education towards a full range of academic degrees, from Bachelor to Master degrees, as well as specialist postgraduate and PhD degrees.The faculty pays special attention to studying a double major (two-disciplines) programmes, although many programmes can be studied as a single (one-discipline) major. Studies can be combined freely between them. The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is committed to the development of such a system of studies, as it is inevitably conducive to the integration of knowledge in social sciences and humanities, as such a model also guarantees a high level of applicability of the studied disciplines.The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences currently runs 92 university study programmes (of which 44 are undergraduate, 47 graduate and 1 integrated undergraduate and graduate study programme) and offers 15 university postgraduate (doctoral) programmes and 6 postgraduate specialised study programmes.
