About Faith Assembly:We are an independent, Bible preaching church within the Fellowship of Christian Assemblies. Our Mission Statement is in keeping with the agricultural heritage of this area and analogous with Jesus parables; that is "to plant, cultivate, harvest, and nurture souls to full Christian maturity." We desire to become the church and school in the Sauk Valley that is known for loving God and living out that love with everyone we meet. Our congregation consists of all age groups, and lots of families with children. Our services include Biblical preaching and contemporary worship. All are welcome to come as they are! We highly value our children and seek to grow them up in Christ through our kids ministry (ages 5-10) and our nurturing nursery ministry (ages 1-4) on Sundays. We also provide a Mother's Room for babies (birth-18 months). We are located approximately 100 miles west of Chicago in the Rock River valley of Northern Illinois. Just outside of Dixon, the village of Grand Detour was named such because of the Rock River charting its course through this area. We are ideally located between the larger cities of Rockford, DeKalb, and the Quad Cities. Within a radius of 15 miles there is a population of 80,000 + people, including the cities of Dixon, Sterling, Rock Falls, and Oregon.
