Nonprofit Organization Management - , Florida, United States
Fighting All Monsters (FAM) is a nonprofit organization committed to helping FAMilies confronting the life-threatening challenges of pediatric cancer. Our slogan is "shut up and do something," which represents our action-oriented approach to getting FAMilies the help they need with minimal delay, paperwork, or other red tape standing in their way. All of our operating expenses are covered by a single benefactor, which allows us to focus exclusively on our #1 objective: getting FAMilies the resources and meaningful support they need to fight childhood cancer and the oftentimes enormous expenses associated with life-saving treatments. We believe children with cancer are the ultimate superheroes who deserve the best possible care to help them conquer these monsters.Since our founding in 2018, we've raised over $1 million that's been donated to FAMilies to help them stay on top of bills, cover travel costs for treatment, make siblings' dreams come true, and get moms the breaks they deserve by paying for childcare and restful retreats. We've also sent hundreds of new iPads to children undergoing chemotherapy and other life-saving treatments, in addition to scholarship programs, hospital room makeovers, bucket list fulfillments, and even visits from therapy llamas. As our organization continues to rapidly grow, we've expanded our offerings to include emergency Covid-19 financial relief and funeral expenses for dozens of FAMilies. Beyond our community of FAMilies directly affected by pediatric cancer, we strive to involve everyday individuals who want to get involved in charitable work or make a difference through monetary donations. Whether you have $5 or $5,000 to give, the funds go directly to help the FAMilies we work with. We're driven by the principles of transparency, efficiency, empathy and minimal bureaucracy, and we understand there's no one-size-fits all approach to either fighting childhood cancer or helping FAMilies cope with overwhelming challenges.
