All of our services are FREE of charge. In 1979, shortly after we incorporated, we became a United Way agency. Without the consistent support of the Rowan County United Way, the Family Crisis Council would have significant difficulty providing the services needed in our county. If you are not already a contributor to United Way, please consider doing so! We are funded by United Way, grants, foundations and the generosity of the citizens and organizations in our community. The Mission of the Family Crisis Council is to help empower victims of rape, incest, sexual assault and domestic violence rebuild their lives and eliminate violence in our community by awareness, prevention activities, court advocacy, emergency shelter, 24 hour crisis support, information/referral services and individual and group counseling services.
