ABOUT USFamily Holiday Promise is a nonprofit organization that helps low-income families ensure that their children are able to celebrate not just Christmas but holidays such as Easter, Halloween, and Valentine's Day. As a holiday charity, we want to bring hope to every child and the opportunity to enjoy the spirit of these holidays. We are also dedicated to helping a child's imagination bloom and escape from the difficult reality of their day-to-day life. We believe that our investment in children's imaginations will pay off in the long run as they can imagine and create better lives for themselves in the future.Many charities for children focus exclusively on making sure that children get to celebrate Christmas. While this is important, children have a right to enjoy other holidays throughout the year, as well. Other holidays also have the potential to build a powerful bond with families and communities. Developing a series of rituals around holidays allows families to express their values and to engage in their community.OUR MISSION STATEMENTAt Family Holiday Promise, it is our mission to empower families and create opportunities for disadvantaged children in Colorado to enjoy holiday traditions.OUR VISIONOur vision is that one day, every child in Colorado will be able to experience the joys of childhood and experience the promise of the holidays despite their circumstances. We want to serve as the light of hope in these children and their families' lives during a time that may seem hopeless and offer a sense of normalcy in a time that may be anything but.
