Civic & Social Organization - Fort Collins, Colorado, United States
The Family Leadership Training Institute of Colorado (FLTI) is part of an international initiative that partners with family and community leaders, equipping them with civic knowledge and leadership skills to support their engagement with systems at the individual, community, and policy levels. When the family voice is dignified through meaningful leadership development and civic engagement opportunities, leaders acquire the civic tools necessary to engage in action that addresses critical health and social inequities that affect our schools, neighborhoods, and communities.Open to anyone with interest, FLTI is a nonpartisan class that brings diverse family leaders together to explore their own leadership goals, community issues, and those vital leadership and civic skills that all leaders need to create positive change in communities.FLTI includes a 20-week training that integrates personal and child development, leadership skill development, civic literacy, and civic engagement. Our curriculum is modeled after that used by the Connecticut Commission on Children's Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI).
