Family Space is: ‘Good news in our community' and ‘Offers a helping hand with the ups and downs of family life.' It aims to • Develop people's appreciation of themselves and their families. • Strengthen family relationships, between parents/carers and their children. • Nurture an on-going sense of hope that makes a difference. • Create opportunities for parents and children to enjoy time together and on their own. • Provide spaces where children and parents can feel safe. Family Space offers these activities to meet those aims: • Befrienders: - individual help and support to parents in and around the family home. • Time Out for Mums Group- to encourage self-worth (with crèche.) • Stay and Play …for parents and pre schoolers to enjoy structured play and creative activities. • Cheltenham Child Contact Centre: - for children to meet their parents after separation.
