Fares4Free is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) that provides free taxi journeys to Armed Forces veterans of all ages. Our mental health first aid trained drivers accompany people to appointments, deliver support and help fight loneliness and isolation one mile at a time around the country.From appointments for treatment of PTSD to ferrying the Old and the Bold back to the beaches, our drivers listen, identify issues and Fares4Free signpost veterans to over 30 different support services. Our service provides a safe environment where our passengers can talk with guaranteed confidentiality.Using taxi firms' existing infrastructure and with driver vetting already in place, Fares4Free have been able to expand the service to 23 regions in just over 2 years while keeping the service, overheads and procedures streamlined.
