Farmable is a revolutionary company that blends social networking, agriculture and crowd sourcing to create a unique investment experience that links users in developed countries with real farms in Africa.Our vision is to "enable farming for the world by linking real farms in developing countries with millions of 'online investors' through a crowdFunding website in order to help feed the world."Farmable consists of two key components:A CrowdFunding Website (www.farmable.me):- Users invest in real cows on real farms in Ghana- Users can access their cow from anywhere in the world on any device with internet accessFarmable will own and manage its OWN farm:- We will manage a 1,000 acre crop-livestock farm in Southern Ghana.- We will start with 100 cattle and aim to have over 20,000 within 5 yearsOur Mission- Reduce dependance of Ghana on imported beef and dairy products- Provide a profitable return on investment to online users that invest in Farmable- Use funds provided by the crowdFunding website for continuous improvement of the farm- Help eradicate hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition- Work with local community to bring modern farming methods to Ghana- Improve the living standards of the rural population through job creation, education and community development- Utilise waste from cattle to be used as by-products for crops and product diversification
