With focus on areas across the South with dynamic food cultures, Farmer and Chef South links chefs, farmers, producers, and purveyors who advocate sustainable food production and eating. Our contributing writers dive into the latest trends and topics, from seed-to-plate, craft spirits/mixology, food tourism, Southern food heritage, urban gardening, and farm practices — to hot new chefs, notable restaurants, and the latest food news in your area. We continually add new recipes and tips for your home kitchen, staying on top of what's fresh in your area. In other words, if it is related to food, beverage, and sustainability in the South, we are leaders in the mix. In addition, we will host quarterly events that bring national cookbook authors and other food celebrities together with local farmers and chefs in various locations. We'll spotlight various Southern cities by writing cookbooks that celebrate their individual thriving food communities. The vibrant mountain town of Asheville, NC is the first cookbook project.
