Fashion with Compassion was originally founded in 2008 by two young and ambitious high school students with an aim to raise money for a city that was besieged by rocket attacks. With the help of classmates, they planned, promoted and organized a fully student-run event that showcased clothing from vendors from all around Los Angeles with local and national corporate sponsorships. Building on their experience, a platform was created for an annual event to empower the students to innovate new ways to leverage the excitement of a student-run fashion show that funds worthwhile causes. Fashion with Compassion was then created into an organization that works with high schools around the world to run their own individual branch. Fashion with Compassion's mission is to raise funds for various humanitarian organizations. Fashion with Compassion simultaneously strives to empower high school students on a level higher than one in a classroom setting.
