The Fatema Mernissi Youth Think Tank is run by a group of researchers, based in Rabat – Morocco, in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of academic and non-academic contributors. The initiative was encouraged by the late Dr Mernissi and will therefore embody the spirit of her work, in terms of conducting participant led-research.The FMY Think Tank will provide a platform where youth can be heard. "Politically youth are more and more likely to feel…that they are excluded from the decision process and the development of their country" (Guerraoui in Mernissi, 2007). Through listening and discussing with youth we will identify the issues which matter to them. The results of our research endeavors will be shared in the public domain as research articles, publications and policy reports.
