The FC Grenoble Rugby is a rugby club founded in 1892 by high school students from Grenoble. A former French rugby club, the FCG was champion of France in 1954, vice champion in 1993 and French champion of ProD2 in 2012. As a formative club, the FCG has won numerous trophies in the categories Hopes, Crabos, Cadets, etc. Several great players have joined the ranks of the FCG, such as Vincent Clerc, Olivier Merle, Olivier Brouzet, the Camberabero brothers, the Pepelnjack brothers, etc.
