FC Pinzgau Saalfelden (FCPS) is located in the spectacular Austrian Alps in the town of Saalfelden and aims to imminently earn promotion into Austria's second division.Emerging last Fall as one of 62 teams seeking three promotion spots across five leagues in Austria's third division, FC Pinzgau now competes this Spring as one of just six teams in pursuit of the desired Western promotion berth.Born in 2007 when the Club's Founders — Dr. Siegfried Kainz, Christian Herzog and Herbert Bründlinger — merged two clubs from the Saalfelden area, FC Pinzgau has risen up from the lower divisions to its present status, on the verge of newfound heights and rarefied air.During the Summer of 2019, the three-man U.S. entity operating as "Fan Owned Club" (FOC) joined the FC Pinzgau founders to initiate an enhanced vision and embark on an ambitious plan for FCPS, introducing a new era for the world's game of football in the Pinzgau region of the Austrian Alps.
