FEARless (Female Education Advocacy Representatives) is a non-profit organization based out of the Virginia Tech campus that works to raise money and awareness for global education equality.Around the world there are 57 million children not in primary school, 32 million of them girls. In Pakistan alone 5.1 million children do not go to primary school and there are almost 50 million illiterate adults, 2/3 of whom are women. Girls' schools are blown up and teachers are killed for trying to spread education to girls. Education is not a political, cultural, or religious issue; it is a basic human right that all are entitled to. Most of us take our education for granted, but in actuality, it is a privilege that many do not get the chance to experience. FEARless, inspired by Malala Yousafzai's incredible story (http://www.malalafund.org/), aims to aid the end of female inequality, particularly in the field of education, and offer the chance for all to experience the joy and opportunity that is learning.
