Feed 4 for 4 is a unique, not-for-profit organization that helps the Working Poor gain access to vital community resources so that they can first make ends meet, pull ahead and ultimately realize self-sufficiency. Our goal is that the people we help will no longer need our help. Originally, the name Feed 4 for 4 signified our goal to feed a family of 4 for 4 days with a specified donation. In working with our community agencies, our organization has evolved to represent a more holistic approach to "feeding" the Working Poor. Through these fantastic agencies, we are able to "feed" those we serve through assistance with Food, Shelter, Education and Employment. While helping with any one of these needs is a wonderful accomplishment, helping to provide all four is what we believe will lead to self-sufficiency and independence. Feed 4 for 4 was founded by local entrepreneur Mark Mertel. Mark believes that as Feed 4 for 4 focuses equally on improving the lives of the Working Poor and increasing the awareness of a Sponsor's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the impact for both will be tremendous. This dual focus improves the lives of the Working Poor, and increases both the Sponsors' brand awareness and the amount of CSR in Arizona, enhancing our entire community. Through generous donations from Sponsors, Feed 4 for 4 funds Arizona agencies that provide food, clothing, housing, health and medical assistance, literacy classes, GED classes, job skills training and job placement for the Working Poor. In return for their sponsorships, Feed 4 for 4 provides Sponsors with strategic marketing efforts that include a multitude of promotions to our 3 million followers, praising their CSR efforts. The goals of these promotions are increased brand awareness, goodwill and a stronger bottom line.
