Feed the Hungry Foundation, Inc. was established in 1977. Food boxes are delivered into the homes of those who call. Needy families can call the Foundation once every three months. Currently the Foundation provides over 1,000,000 meals to families in North Georgia each year. The Foundation is volunteer driven. Volunteers fill our food boxes and do the deliveries. Volunteers are always welcome.In November of 2012 Feed the Hungry Foundation sold its assets with the understanding the new company would carry out the mission of delivering food boxes into the homes of the needy. It is with sadness that I tell you by July of 2013 they had discontinued that program and changed the program. They now SELL the food boxes, food for the most part that came from Publix customers who donated this food, in my opinion not something the customers would approve or support.
