Fellowship of Australian Writers WA Details
The Fellowship of Australian Writers WA was founded in 1938 to support West Australian writers and promote Australian literature and its creators. Situated at Tom Collins House and Mattie Furphy House in the Allen Park precinct of Swanbourne, FAWWA continues to operate as a well-respected, not-for-profit writers' centre for the Perth metropolitan area (and regional WA too!). Each month we host writing groups, book launches, author talks and poetry readings, as well as collaborations with our fellow Perth writers' centres. The Vickers Library of West Australian works is also located at Tom Collins House. We welcome writers of all ages and genres to become part of our supportive community – we are here for aspiring, emerging and established writers.
