Created before World War II in the United States to engage young people in today's current issues and to raise their awareness of the world, Model UN is a global UN program for senior high school students that gives them the chance to organize and participate in a simulated UN conference. How does it happen?Students pose as diplomats in real face to face conferences taking place in Geneva's international organisations;Students take on role as diplomats, research a country, investigate international issues, debate, deliberate, consult, and then develop solutions to world problems.An enthusiastic atmosphere spread:Run by students, the conferences' atmosphere is always enthusiastic and animated. From disarmament or health to agriculture or human rights, delegates find a wide range of themes in which they are actively involved.
