The Family Emergency Shelter Coalition helps homeless families move toward self-sufficiency. We provide crisis care, self-sufficiency services, and developmental support for children.Serving about 80 homeless families per year in residence, FESCO operates an emergency shelter, transitional housing, and permanent supportive housing. Services include:*safe, clean, supportive living environment*nutritious meals*individualized guidance toward self-sufficiency*mental health counseling for children and adults*money management education and practice*classes in parenting, job search preparation, nutrition, and financial literacy*housing placement assistance*tutoring and developmental activities for childrenProgram alumni receive support -- including case management, mental health counseling, household goods, food boxes, and backpacks with school supplies -- to help them maintain self-sufficiency.
