Often 'New Age Advertising' is neither New Age nor Advertising! It is not as if in the 'New Age' people don't behave like people anymore; nor has Advertising stopped being communication based on insights about consumer behaviour. In essence, New Age Advertising is just extension of communication expertise to a new medium. If one was not a communication expert to start with, extending such weakness to new media can hardly help!At Fidelis we believe that there is no real use of classifying advertising as 'digital', 'traditional', 'new-age', etc. We simply believe in creating marketing communication that comes from a deep understanding of people, and thus works for you in the best possible way across borders, across platforms, and certainly across media. Good advertising always does that. It is not as if Van Gogh will ever cease to have appeal, or conversely that Gangnam Style is not incredibly popular!We don't think advertising is just a lot of fun. We don't think advertising is just slick headlines and arresting visuals. For us advertising is the "power to persuade". With advertising we believe we can sell products and services, refurbish corporate image, boost share prices, fight AIDS, build personalities and even change governments. We are in advertising not because it is good business but because this is what we'd rather be doing.
