Fidelis Project was begun as a response to the great need for emerging Christian leaders around the world to be rooted and grounded in the fundamentals of biblical theology. The Spirit of God has been pleased to establish many "gospel beachheads" throughout the nations: Disciple-making-movements and church-planting movements have been started as the result of simple obedience to Christ's great commission. However, the breadth and depth of understanding of the richness of the Holy Scriptures and the history of God's redemption purposes for many faithful saints and emerging leaders around the world remains unknown, untaught or misunderstood.Our aim is to bring together a timely solution that faithful ministers around the world can be well-equipped and built up for the work of the ministry."And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ" Ephesians 4:11-12, ESVGuiding PrincipalsWe have a few vital principals that have helped us craft our program:The problem is not a lack of information. The internet has put unimaginable amounts of information at the fingertips of billions of people around the world. The true challenge for emerging leaders who are hungry for good teaching is how to filter out all of the false and poor information available on the web. 60% of world population is now using the internet, and if trends continue, the internet will be a universal avenue for learning.Localized, relational adult-learning. Many emerging leaders live in contexts that are hostile to the advancement of the gospel and there are few (or no) institutions of theological higher-learning available. While many would desire to attend a traditional seminary in the western world, the exorbitant cost of travel, tuition and the difficulty of receiving a visa make this virtually unattainable.
