Fill the Bowls provides life-saving nourishment and aid to underserved Nicaraguan communities, transforming the lives of those most in need. The organization will be driven by a vision to eliminate hunger related deaths in Nicaragua. Fill the Bowls will be focused on serving the most vulnerable and underserved in the country. According to the World Bank, 43% of the population in Nicaragua lives on less than $2 per day. With a population of 6 million people, 53% being age 18 or less, the country's poverty most severely affects women and children. The organization will provide life-saving nourishment and a holistic approach to eliminating malnourishment in each community. Fill the Bowls will be immersed in the work of making a life-saving difference to those whose need is real and immediate. It will nourish the underserved, to save lives and to sustain a long-term elimination of hunger related deaths in local communities.
