Founded in 2008 by former PBS and CNN HLN journalist Michele Mitchell and recovering lawyer Ed Head (who met on a dirt road in the jungles of Nepal and wrote out their business plan on a napkin at the bar of the Yak and Yeti hotel in Kathmandu), Film At 11 began in the back room of Meli Melo restaurant in NYC. With files stored in the wine cellar and the dining room wired up for Internet access, Film At 11 planned out its first programming for the presidential election of 2008. Our aim: to keep you ahead of the news narrative in a fun, non-partisan and smart way.
