FilmIntel is a Los Angeles based group of Producers and Web Developers who met at various events over the past five years. Most people we spoke with were frustrated by how archaic most aspects of film production still are.While the industry has been advancing in the arena of visual effects, camera technology, and screening, the actual on the ground organization was still mostly on paper.FilmIntel began with the development of FlickTracker, a complete project management solution for accounting, contracts, and delivery. After watching the same employees fill out start paperwork over and over again only to be handed a stack of PAPER timecards, FlickTracker was created to deal with this issue. FlickTracker began beta testing on six productions from 2014-2015.In October 2014, FilmIntel announced their second product. Budget, a completely cloud-based budgeting solution for motion pictures aims to re-work the way projects are budgeted and managed.
