Filmscapes is a landscape gardening business with a twist. Although we design and build gardens for private clients, Filmscapes' biggest claim to fame is creating breathtaking sets for film, TV, advertising and events. From Harry Potter to London 2012 Opening Ceremony… on set or on location… our experienced team works with designers and art directors to turn ‘fantasy into reality'. We work in a variety of ways – from detailed 3D visuals, written briefs or face to face sessions and the script – but when faced with a challenge we get a real buzz out of making it happen.Founded in 1982, we have a lifetime of experience in the film, TV and event industries. Our first commission was for Stuart Craig on Hugh Hudson's Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes in 1984 when founder, Ron Whittle was headhunted to create ‘living' sets.We have a wide circle of suppliers and contacts to draw upon when we need support for specific challenges. We have gained a reputation for responding with the right solution, researching appropriate plants and materials, sourcing in season 'lookalikes' and creating ingenious ways to 'make things happen' in the right way.Leave it to us. We organise everything – delivery to site, plant and equipment hire and the right skillset to ensure the project is delivered within the right timeframe to the right standards.
