Financial Foundations at UCR is the first personal finance club at UC Riverside. The purpose of this club is to educate the student body in the various topics of personal finance, facilitate discussion, and aid in professional growth of the student body. The intended impact of this organization is to prepare students for life after college by equipping them with all the information needed for future personal finance decisions. It is important to have this organization because of the sheer amount of students in debt after graduation; and we believe that having the financial knowledge of how to save, budget, and pay off student loans in a timely fashion will allow students to be financially independent without making easily avoidable mistakes that Financial Foundations at UCR can help prevent.
