Financial Literacy Initiative Details
The Financial Literacy Initiative is a student-run organization at Indiana University aimed at increasing the liquidity of philanthropic activities in the university campus and surrounding communities. This is facilitated by uniquely utilizing the human capital that established Indiana University and Kelley School of Business student organizations already have and not only matching, but designing and implementing volunteer opportunities that fully takes advantage of the knowledge and man-power these organizations provide. FLI is dedicated to its founding mission of providing financial literacy education to uneducated and impoverished communities and is currently in the infant stages of creating a curriculum, recruiting qualified student-teachers, and creating relationships with local high schools that will enable the FLI to provide in-depth and quality education.
