Finding A Voice is a four-day concert series that celebrates and showcases music by women composers through the ages. It takes place annually in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary around the weekend of International Women's Day - 8th March. In 2021, the concert series was broadcast online for the first time and future concerts will mix live performance and online concerts.Founded in 2017 by sisters Roisin Maher (Artistic Director - Lecturer at MTU Cork School of Music) and Cliona Maher (Treasurer - Artistic Director of Clonmel Junction Arts Festival), over the past four years the concert series has featured music by more than eighty women composers, from Hildegard of Bingen to newly commissioned works, and performances from leading Irish and international musicians. The fifth edition of Finding a Voice will take place from 4th to 8th March 2022. The concert series will again focus on the music of women composers through the ages, building and expanding on the first four highly successful series.
