FIPFA, the Fédération Internationale de Powerchair Football Association, is the international governing body of Powerchair Football. It is headquartered in Derby, England.In 2006, representatives of 9 nations met in Coimbra, Portugal and then in Atlanta, USA, to develop a standardized set of laws for Powerchair Football and form an international governing body.There are currently 22 Member Countries spread across three Zones; the American Powerchair Football Confederation (APFC), European Powerchair Football Association (EPFA) and the Asia Pacific Oceania Powerchair Football Association (APO).The current members are Argentina, Austria, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, England, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, Scotland, Spain, South Korea, Switzerland, USA and Uruguay.
