Fire Lake Films is a film production company specialising in documentary style films for the corporate, charitable and public sector markets. The company follows the Griersonian tradition of film making. John Grierson was one of the founders of the documentary film movement working for organisations such as the Empire Marketing Board, Crown Film Unit and the General Post Office in the middle of the 20th century. He started what would become a main stream form of media, the documentary, which tell stories about real people, projects and situations. Our goal is to make great films for all our clients, that not only encompass the core of documentary film techniques but also artistically and creatively express the subjects of each film we make. Our strengths lie in our passion for story-telling, this is the core of every film and without a story it is just a collection of images which tell us nothing.
