Fire and Life Safety Services has completed approximately 300 new Sports Authority stores with high-piled storage and hazardous materials issues over the past 12 years and now Sports Authority has gone out of business. I have also completed several high-piled storage warehouses from 25,000 SF up to 600,000 SF. Fire & Life Safety is looking for a new national retail client, warehouse developers, businesses needing high-piled storage guidance, or national developer needing assistance with fire code compliance for underground fire lines (I've saved several developers a lot of money when it comes to large site developments, Note: Civil Engineers are not trained in fire code compliance or required underground fire line distribution. Most Civil Engineers tend to provide larger systems then what is actually required by the fire code), or any type of high-piled storage facility needing an expert in the fire code (International Fire Code or NFPA 1) and NFPA 13 standard for the installation of fire sprinkler systems requirements for high-piled storage. Developers or businesses if you looking at developing or moving to a warehouse – the first thing you should check is the sprinkler system requirements for the type of commodities or products you are planning to store. I have helped several companies review their sprinkler system requirements prior to signing a lease for a building where the sprinkler system would require significant upgrades to provide the minimum and necessary fire sprinkler protection system. Please don't sign a warehouse lease until you know for sure that the existing system provides the minimum required fire sprinkler protection. All warehouses are not suitable for every type of commodity. I am a one man fire protection and fire code consulting service who provides prompt and individual attention to your project needs. Excellent references can be obtained upon request.
